What Can Happen in Four Weeks

6 Aug

A little less than a month ago, I talked about the virtues of trying to find my own happiness.  Well not just mine.  Everyone should fine their happiness and bliss. Whatever makes them wake up every morning and scream “Yes! Today is going to be a good day and I’m happy!” You get my point.

But yes, this post, was indeed, about finding my personal happiness.

Since that post, I’ve gone through an emotional rollercoaster with a friend back home.  And I think it opened my eyes.  A bit. I realized life is way too short. So I’ve decided to fast track some of my goals for the year, so I can start making news ones ASAP.

  1. Do something physical to push my limits.  Rock climbing class – COMPLETED!  And now I’m scheduled to do ziplining next week. Yea dudes and dudettes – who AM I?  Yes, after wine tasting, but before we try a new restaurant for Beantown Restaurant Week.
  2. Take a wine tasting and/or cooking course. SCHEDULED FOR NEXT FRIDAY!
  3. Pass my real estate sales license exam. Course is completed, test is scheduled for August  September.  And I need to get cracking on studying again. Umm yea, I need to keep working on this.
  4. Complete my Stratejoy course.  I’ll hit the official 1/2 way mark this weekend. I AM GETTING SO CLOSE.
  5. Take a day trip, by myself, to a beach I’ve never been to before. Second part of this – try the Quincy Farmer’s Market this Friday.  BOTH COMPLETED. I went to Nantasket Beach in Hull and tried the Quincy Farmer’s Market. Beach = awesome. Market = eh.  At least I got some good granola (and at least I tried it.)
  6. Meeting and exceeding my goal for the Jimmy Fund Walk. MET!  Just need to exceed.

So three out of six at this point aint so bad, especially when I’m course to meet two more are in my near future.

And a few folks have asked about my new job on the sly. I like it. I really do. I’m starting to get the hang of it, I like the peeps here, and I’m starting to feel more relaxed.  So all good on that front.

So Happy Friday y’all. Hope you’re on your journey to find your bliss and happiness. Peace out!

OH and PS – no, I never called Match boy back. I realized I was a little too hung up on everything and needed to focus on myself for a bit before I can delve into something new.
